Five papers have beeen published in several internationally recognized journals including J. ASME Mechanical Design, International J. of Food Properties, J. Engineering Mathematics, ASME J. Medical Devices.
A book undertaken by more than 40 co-authors working in Turkish Universities on orthopeadical biomechanics is being prepared under the editorial board of Prof. Dr. İ.D. Akçalı, Prof. Dr. M. Gülşen, Asst. Prof. Dr. K. Ün from MACTIMARUM (Çukurova University) and Assoc. Prof. Dr H.Yıldız from Ege University.Besides a chapter concerning external fixators is contributed to the book through the joint work by Prof. Dr. İ.D. Akçalı, Prof. Dr. M. Gülşen, Asst. Prof. Dr. K. Ün from MACTIMARUM (Çukurova University) and Asst. Prof. Dr.H. Mutlu (Mersin University) .
A prototype of a patented system called "Mechavision" is being built in the campus area in 200x210 cms dimensions by the joint efforts of Prof. Dr. İ. D. Akçalı ,O. Yurekli and an interested company. The same system is manufactured in several other dimensions such as (40x50) and (50 x70) energized by .DC and AC power sources in laboratory of the center.
A project with the titile "Fixator Automation" supported by TUBİTAK (Turkish Scientific and Technical Council) is being undertaken by the members of the center including Prof. Dr. İ.D. Akçalı, Prof. Dr. M. Gülşen, Asst. Prof. Dr. K. Ün, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Esen and Asst. Prof. T. İbrikçi.

The TUBITAK Research has been realised, contributing much to the infrastructure of the center. The book project on "Biomechanics of Musculo-Skeletal System" has been finally published. Two papers on the outcome of the TUBITAK project have been presented and printed in the national congress of Antalya and Samsun; And another one has been presented and printed in the 2009 World Congress on Biomedical Engineering in Munich, Germany.
Plans are under way to publish more articles and to do more practice related with the results of TUBITAK project.
